Job Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and detail-focused Room Attendant to join the team at Montigo Resorts at Charlton House in Shepton Mallet.
The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining exceptional cleanliness and presentation throughout the property, helping create a comfortable, welcoming, and memorable experience for every guest.
Previous hotel or hospitality cleaning experience is preferred but not essential. A positive attitude, strong attention to detail, and commitment to high standards are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and prepare guest bedrooms to a high standard.
- Dust, vacuum, mop, and sanitise surfaces as required.
- Change bed linen and towels, ensuring rooms are fresh and well presented.
- Restock toiletries, amenities, and other guest supplies.
- Maintain cleanliness in communal areas, including corridors, lobbies, and restrooms.
- Identify and promptly report maintenance issues or potential safety hazards.
- Follow company cleaning procedures and health and safety standards.
- Work effectively with colleagues to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Manage time efficiently to complete assigned rooms and tasks.
Requirements
- Previous hotel, housekeeping, or hospitality cleaning experience is an advantage.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong commitment to cleanliness and presentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good organisation and time-management skills.
- Reliable, professional, and hardworking approach.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Physical ability and stamina to carry out cleaning duties throughout the shift.
