About the Family
A welcoming family in Muswell Hill is looking for a caring, experienced and enthusiastic Nanny to provide full-time care for their 2-year-old son.
The ideal candidate will create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment while supporting the child’s development through play, learning and age-appropriate activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and loving care throughout the day.
- Manage diapering, dressing and potty training.
- Prepare healthy snacks and meals as required.
- Keep the child’s play and activity areas clean and organised.
- Plan and organise age-appropriate activities.
- Read books, sing songs and engage in interactive play.
- Take the child to parks, playgroups and other suitable outings.
- Ensure the child’s safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Provide regular updates to the parents about the child’s activities and development.
Supporting Child Development
The nanny will help encourage:
- Gross motor skills through outdoor play, movement games and activities.
- Fine motor skills through puzzles, blocks, drawing and crafts.
- Language development through conversation, reading and singing.
- Cognitive development through creative play, exploration and problem-solving activities.
- Social and emotional development by encouraging communication, sharing, turn-taking and positive interactions.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with toddlers; 3+ years preferred.
- NVQ Level 2 in Childcare is preferred.
- Current infant/child First Aid and CPR certification.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual and responsible.
- Energetic, positive and genuinely passionate about childcare.
- Excellent references from previous families.
- DBS check completed within the last year or registered on the DBS Update Service.
