About the Role
We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our busy culinary team in London.
The successful candidate will help maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen while supporting chefs and other kitchen staff with food preparation and general kitchen duties.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is willing to learn and develop their skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation.
- Wash dishes, pots, pans and kitchen equipment.
- Keep kitchen areas clean, organised and hygienic.
- Clear and clean tables and dining areas when required.
- Assist with banquet and catering preparation and food-station setup.
- Follow food safety, hygiene and storage procedures.
- Support basic cooking tasks when required.
- Help the team maintain efficient service during busy periods.
- Carry out general cleaning duties throughout the kitchen.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
- Previous kitchen or food-service experience preferred.
- Knowledge of basic food hygiene and safe food-handling practices.
- Catering, serving or table-bussing experience is an advantage.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and take on different kitchen duties.
- Culinary experience or formal training is beneficial but not essential.
