About the Role
We are a friendly 100-bedroom central London hotel looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Chef / Chef’s Assistant to join our kitchen team.
You’ll primarily work as a Chef or Chef’s Assistant, with occasional Kitchen Porter duties when required. The role is generally during the daytime, although some evening work may occasionally be needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing and cooking food to a high standard.
- Work confidently and independently when required.
- Support the kitchen team with day-to-day operations.
- Maintain excellent food-quality and hygiene standards.
- Assist with Kitchen Porter duties when required.
- Work efficiently in a busy hotel kitchen.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience as a Chef or Cook in a busy kitchen — essential.
- Be confident preparing and cooking a variety of food.
- Be reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic.
- Have a genuine passion for cooking and food quality.
- Be willing to assist with all areas of kitchen operations.
- Have excellent communication skills.
- Be able to work independently when needed.
- Have proof of the right to work in the UK.
