The Role
We’re looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to help maintain the cleanliness and presentation of our student accommodation in Shoreditch. You’ll play a key role in ensuring residents enjoy a high-quality, comfortable living environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high cleaning standards across communal areas, kitchens, bathrooms, and corridors
- Carry out room cleaning during student changeovers and term breaks
- Report maintenance or health and safety issues promptly
- Monitor cleaning supplies and request stock when needed
- Assist during student move-ins and move-outs
- Follow health & safety and COSHH guidelines at all times
- Provide a friendly, approachable presence for residents
What We’re Looking For
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience (hospitality or residential preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Friendly attitude with good communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and proactive
- Basic understanding of health & safety practices (training provided if needed)
- Flexibility to work weekends when required
Requirements
Essential:
- Prior cleaning/housekeeping experience
- Basic background check (CRB)
- Customer service experience
- Knowledge of hygiene and safety standards
Desirable:
- Health & Safety qualification
