Overview
Akari Care is seeking a dedicated Laundry Assistant to join its team in an award-winning care home. This role is ideal for someone who is compassionate, reliable, and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of older residents. You’ll play an important part in maintaining high standards of cleanliness while supporting residents with dignity and respect.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily laundry operations, ensuring all items are cleaned and handled with care
- Carry out minor clothing repairs when needed
- Maintain a clean, organised, and well-functioning laundry area
- Work closely with housekeeping and domestic staff to ensure smooth operations
- Provide personalised attention to residents’ laundry needs, respecting cultural and individual preferences
- Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and used safely
