About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and caring Housekeeping Assistant to join our team on a flexible bank basis. This role is essential in ensuring our care home maintains the highest standards of cleanliness, comfort, and presentation for residents, visitors, and staff.
Working as part of the housekeeping team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while delivering excellent laundry and housekeeping services.
Key Duties
- Carry out cleaning tasks in line with daily schedules and housekeeping procedures.
- Maintain cleanliness in residents’ rooms, communal areas, and facilities.
- Provide efficient laundry services, including washing, drying, ironing, and storage of clothing and linen.
- Use cleaning products and equipment safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Ensure all areas are presented to a high standard at all times.
- Respect residents’ privacy, dignity, and personal belongings.
- Support the wider team by assisting with housekeeping duties as required.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning, or laundry services.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures, including COSHH and infection control practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- A positive, caring, and professional attitude.
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to cover shifts and adapt to changing priorities when needed.
