About the Role
Avery Healthcare is currently seeking a caring and reliable Laundry Assistant to join the team at Aran Court Care Home in Birmingham. This role plays an important part in ensuring residents receive a high standard of service and comfort every day.
You will be supporting the housekeeping team in delivering an efficient and high-quality laundry service within a warm and supportive care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all laundry duties to a high standard
- Follow washing instructions for different fabrics and materials
- Ensure safe handling and movement of laundry items
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of laundry areas
- Work closely with housekeeping and care teams
- Follow health, safety, and hygiene procedures at all times
About You
- Previous experience in laundry, housekeeping, or hotel environment preferred
- Understanding of fabric care and cleaning processes
- Compassionate and respectful attitude towards residents
- Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented
- Strong attention to detail
