About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Kitchen Team Member to join our busy culinary team in West Thurrock.
You’ll help prepare and serve high-quality food while maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, food safety and customer service. This is a great opportunity to develop your kitchen skills within a supportive hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cook and present dishes including meat, fish and vegetables.
- Follow recipes and established food-quality standards.
- Keep the kitchen clean, organised and safe.
- Wash, sanitise and store dishes, pots, pans and utensils.
- Support general kitchen porter duties, including waste disposal.
- Assist with basic equipment care and maintenance.
- Store and rotate food correctly to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
- Work closely with kitchen colleagues to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
- Help accommodate guests with allergies and specific dietary requirements.
- Ensure sufficient supplies of clean crockery, utensils and kitchen equipment.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
- Attend training sessions and team meetings.
- Adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced kitchen.
