About the Family
A warm and welcoming family based in Muswell Hill, London is looking for an experienced, caring and enthusiastic Full-Time Nanny to care for their 2-year-old son.
The ideal candidate will create a safe, loving and stimulating environment while supporting the child’s development through play, learning and age-appropriate activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full-time care for the family’s 2-year-old son.
- Support with diapering, dressing and potty training.
- Prepare healthy snacks and meals suitable for a toddler.
- Keep the child’s play areas clean, safe and organised.
- Plan and provide engaging, age-appropriate activities.
- Read books, sing songs and encourage interactive play.
- Take the child to parks, playgroups and other child-friendly activities when appropriate.
- Ensure the child’s safety, health and wellbeing at all times.
- Provide regular updates to the parents about the child’s activities and development.
Supporting Development
The nanny will help encourage the child’s development in several key areas:
- Gross Motor Skills: Active indoor and outdoor play, including running, climbing, jumping, ball games and trips to the park.
- Fine Motor Skills: Puzzles, building blocks, drawing and simple arts and crafts.
- Language Development: Conversation, reading, singing and introducing new vocabulary.
- Cognitive Development: Age-appropriate games and activities that encourage curiosity, creativity and problem-solving.
- Social & Emotional Development: Creating a nurturing environment and helping the child learn about sharing, taking turns and expressing emotions.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with toddlers; 3+ years preferred.
- NVQ Level 2 in Childcare is preferred.
- Current infant/child First Aid and CPR certification.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual and responsible.
- Energetic, positive and genuinely passionate about working with young children.
- Excellent references from previous families.
- A DBS check completed within the last year or registration on the DBS Update Service.
- Ability to provide consistent, long-term care.
