About the Role
The Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a motivated and reliable Housekeeper to join the Emergency Department team. In this vital role, you will help ensure patients receive safe, clean, and high-quality care in a well-maintained clinical environment.
You will work alongside another housekeeper and be an important part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting the smooth running of the department and contributing to a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in clinical and non-clinical areas
- Manage stock levels and supplies within the department
- Support equipment checks and routine audits
- Assist with daily organisation of the Emergency Department
- Ensure a safe, tidy, and well-prepared environment for patients and staff
- Work effectively under direction in a fast-paced, high-pressure setting
About You
- Caring, reliable, and team-focused attitude
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Good literacy and numeracy abilities
- Ability to work in a structured and systematic way
- Previous hospital or healthcare experience is beneficial but not essential (training provided)
