As a Laundry Assistant, you will play an important role in ensuring residents receive a high-quality laundry service while supporting the overall housekeeping and hospitality functions within the home.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out daily laundry duties efficiently and to a high standard
- Wash, dry, iron, and organise residents’ clothing, bedding, and linens
- Follow laundry care instructions for a variety of fabrics and materials
- Ensure all laundry areas remain clean, safe, and well organised
- Handle cleaning products and equipment safely and responsibly
- Follow health and safety procedures, including manual handling practices
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain excellent service standards
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a laundry, housekeeping, hotel, care home, or similar environment is desirable
- Good understanding of fabric care and laundry procedures
- Positive, caring, and professional attitude
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Compassion and respect when supporting residents and colleagues
