About the Role
Spire Bushey Hospital is seeking a reliable and motivated Bank Housekeeper to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment throughout the hospital. This flexible role involves covering shifts during busy periods, staff sickness, and annual leave, allowing you to work according to both business needs and your availability.
As part of one of the UK’s leading private healthcare providers, you will play an important role in supporting patient care by ensuring high standards of cleanliness and infection prevention.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain excellent cleanliness standards across patient rooms, clinical areas, and public spaces.
- Complete daily cleaning schedules and prepare rooms for patient use.
- Follow infection prevention and housekeeping policies at all times.
- Report maintenance issues, equipment faults, or supply shortages to the Senior Housekeeper.
- Work closely with clinical teams to support the smooth running of the hospital.
- Use cleaning equipment safely and comply with Health & Safety regulations, including COSHH.
- Follow manual handling guidance and complete all mandatory training.
- Protect patient confidentiality and maintain quality standards at all times.
Essential Requirements
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience.
- Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively.
- Positive attitude with a flexible approach to work.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to complete mandatory training, including Infection Control, COSHH, Manual Handling, Food Hygiene, and Health & Safety.
