About the Family
A warm family in Muswell Hill is looking for an experienced, caring and enthusiastic Full-Time Nanny to care for their 2-year-old son.
The ideal candidate will create a safe, loving and stimulating environment while supporting the child’s development through play, learning and age-appropriate activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full-time care for the 2-year-old child.
- Handle dressing, nappy changes and potty training.
- Prepare healthy snacks and meals as required.
- Keep the child’s play areas clean and organised.
- Plan and organise age-appropriate activities.
- Read books, sing songs and engage in interactive play.
- Take the child to parks, playgroups and other suitable outings.
- Ensure the child’s safety and wellbeing at all times.
- Provide parents with regular updates on activities and development.
Developmental Activities
The nanny will support the child’s development through:
- Gross motor skills: Outdoor play, running, climbing, jumping, ball games and movement activities.
- Fine motor skills: Puzzles, building blocks, drawing and arts and crafts.
- Language development: Reading, conversations, songs and introducing new vocabulary.
- Cognitive development: Games and activities that encourage creativity, exploration and problem-solving.
- Social and emotional development: Encouraging sharing, turn-taking, communication and healthy emotional expression.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
- Proven experience caring for toddlers, with 3+ years preferred.
- NVQ Level 2 in Childcare preferred.
- Current infant/child First Aid and CPR certification.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A reliable, punctual and responsible approach.
- Genuine enthusiasm for working with young children.
- Excellent references from previous families.
- A DBS check completed within the last year or registration on the DBS Update Service.
