About the Role
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our local store in Redditch.
As a Sales Assistant, you’ll be an important part of the store team, helping customers from the moment they arrive through to checkout. You’ll provide friendly advice, keep the store looking its best and help create a welcoming shopping experience.
Pay
- Ages 16–17: £8.00 per hour
- Ages 18+: £12.71 per hour
Key Responsibilities
You’ll receive training across different areas of the store, including:
Customer Service & Tills
- Provide a friendly and efficient checkout experience.
- Process purchases accurately.
- Pack customers’ purchases carefully, including fragile items.
- Make every customer interaction positive and welcoming.
Shop Floor
- Help customers find products and make suitable recommendations.
- Provide knowledgeable and friendly assistance.
- Maintain attractive and well-presented displays.
- Build positive relationships with customers.
Hosting & Customer Services
- Help customers order products for home delivery when items are unavailable in store.
- Use iPad systems to place customer orders.
- Learn and support Made to Measure services for curtains and blinds.
- Assist customers with home styling and product choices.
Stock & Deliveries
- Receive and check deliveries.
- Replenish stock on the shop floor.
- Maintain pricing and product displays.
- Help keep the store organised after busy periods.
- Carry out some manual handling and heavy lifting when required.
